Stacy Taylor possesses more than fifteen years of experience in public relations, working for communications agencies, corporations, and nonprofits. Ms. Taylor’s expertise encompasses both macro- and micro-management of multi-faceted public relations campaigns and special events -- ranging from analytical research, creative brainstorming, and strategic planning…to coordinating and supervising budgets, schedules, staff, vendors, and volunteers…to implementing logistics, writing, conducting media relations, overseeing details, and meeting deadlines (on quality and on budget). Specializing in the areas of media relations and writing -- for press materials, newsletters, web copy, and more -- as well as in community relations and events planning, promotion, publicity, and production, Stacy has worked on behalf of clients in a variety of industries, including arts/culture/entertainment; automotive; consumer products; food and beverage; health/fitness; professional services; real estate; restaurant franchises; retail/fashion; travel/tourism; and more. She has also handled projects in the areas of industry/trade (“B2B”) relations, employee communications/internal relations, and financial communications. For the past six years, Stacy has operated as a public relations consultant, providing national, regional, and grassroots support to nonprofits, businesses, entrepreneurs, and other communications agencies (on behalf of their clients). From 1991 to 1996, Stacy held supervisory positions with two prominent Los Angeles-based public relations agencies, where she was responsible for concurrently directing multiple activities, budgets, and staff for national accounts such as Baskin-Robbins, March of Dimes, McDonald's, Nissan/Infiniti, and Oral-B Laboratories, among others. Earlier in her career, Stacy served as special events and marketing communications manager for the esteemed Music Center/Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County and its three theaters -- the Ahmanson Theatre, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and Mark Taper Forum. During her two-year tenure at The Music Center, Stacy helped to plan, promote, publicize, and produce its community, educational outreach, and special events, which raised about $2 million in net revenues to benefit the Center’s five artist-in-residence companies. Stacy received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, with a Philosophy minor, from UCLA in 1985. From 1985 to 1988, she studied Marketing and Communications through UCLA Extension's Business Studies curriculum. Stacy remains involved with UCLA through its Alumni Association, having co-chaired and served as a member of its scholarship selection committee, and she has been an Extension guest lecturer on public relations. Stacy also participates in public relations industry events to continually hone her skills, and she supports several nonprofit organizations as a contributing member and/or volunteer. Stacy's hobbies include reading, writing, taking classes in performing and fine arts, and surfing with her husband, Glenn. Return to Main Concept (Home) Page |
